Founder, Principal Architect
Based in Venice Beach, California, Ed is the founder and principal architect of Millan Architect / Studio. With over 15 years of experience designing, drafting, and overseeing the construction of custom high-end residential homes and boutique retail spaces, Ed is also well-versed in complex permitting projects through his years working in historic, environmentally nuanced, and coastal zones.
His dedication and passion in regenerative and lasting design are evident in every phase of his work. Each finished project is a manifestation of an incredible attention to detail, from the big ideas to the smallest choices, through which Ed is able to be the anchor of continuity across an entire experience from paper to build.
A registered architect in both California and Colorado, Ed graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado’s College of Architecture and Planning . He then moved to Los Angeles to earn his Masters of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Southern California. Ed is currently a member of the Venice Heritage Foundation board and is committed to the development of young designers through mentorship, championing diversity and opportunity, and supporting creative collaboration within the architecture community through innovation and partnership.
Project Manager
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Tim earned his bachelor's degree in environmental design from the University of Colorado. He returned to LA to design custom homes, building a diverse portfolio of modern and traditional projects. Tim's career began with a collaboration on a neighbor's residence in Santa Monica, leading to multiple custom home designs in Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Brentwood, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills. He later worked for award-winning firms, expanding his reach to Northern California and Austin, Texas. Tim's close work with principal architects has given him a comprehensive understanding of project execution. His expertise includes a keen awareness of light, site, and materials, reflecting his passion for Los Angeles architecture.

Designer
Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Micol moved to Los Angeles to study and earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University. She has worked for high end firms on residential and mixed-used projects before joining MA/S. Micol has always been an observer in character, and studying architecture has made her even more sensitive to the many facets of a home and creating meaningful spaces for others.
